Leora Ben-Ami

Leora Ben-Ami is a member of Omni Bridgeway’s Investment Committee focused on reviewing proposed investments involving intellectual property disputes.

Leora is one of the most highly regarded intellectual property attorneys in the US, particularly within the areas of biotechnology, life sciences and pharmaceuticals. She has served in leadership positions at several AmLaw Global 200 firms, including most recently as a partner for Kirkland & Ellis and previously as co-chair of the intellectual property practice and a member of the executive committee at Kaye Scholer, and chair of the global intellectual property group and a member of the board at Clifford Chance.

Throughout her career, Leora has tried many jury trials as lead counsel and has extensive appellate experience, including arguing before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit several times. Her clients have included some of the largest Fortune 500 pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms in the world. Leora began her career as a clerk for Senior Circuit Judge Philip Nichols, Jr., of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Ms. Ben-Ami serves on the board of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association, and served on the faculty of the Sedona Conference for Patent Litigation in 2011. She earned a law degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
