Millie Byrnes Howe is an Investment Manager based in Omni Bridgeway's Sydney office, where she is responsible for assessing, structuring and monitoring litigation funding investments across a range of commercial disputes and class actions.
Before joining Omni Bridgeway, Millie was a Senior Associate in Piper Alderman's dispute resolution and litigation team. She acted in a broad range of complex commercial disputes and class actions, representing both claimants and defendants in proceedings before the District Court of New South Wales, the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Federal Court of Australia. She also advised clients on contractual obligations, remedies for breach, and compliance with legislation including the Competition and Consumer Act and the Corporations Act.
Millie’s class action experience spans shareholder and financial services class actions acting for applicants, as well as consumer law class actions involving allegations of misleading or deceptive conduct. She also regularly advised clients on litigation funding arrangements and the broader class action landscape in Australia.
Millie’s expertise has been recognised by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Australia and the Legal 500 Asia-Pacific for Dispute Resolution: Class Actions. She has also contributed to industry publications, including the Australian chapter of Lexology Panoramic – Litigation Funding.
