Nicole Lech

Nicole Lech is an Investment Manager & Legal Counsel based in Omni Bridgeway’s New York office. She focuses on the origination, underwriting, and management of investments in the US, with particular experience in commercial and financial industry disputes, judgment enforcement, asset recovery, and mass tort litigation.

Before joining Omni Bridgeway, Nicole spent more than twelve years at Reed Smith LLP, most recently as Counsel in the firm’s Financial Industry Group. As a first-chair complex commercial litigator with plaintiff- and defense-side experience, she led complex disputes in state and federal courts, arbitration, and bankruptcy proceedings. Her practice focused on representing financial institutions, hedge funds, and other investors in the recovery and monetization of non-performing, distressed and other special situation assets through litigation and related strategies. Her plaintiff-side work contributed to matters generating more than $1 billion in recoveries.

Alongside her litigation practice, Nicole structured, underwrote, and advised on litigation funding transactions, gaining experience from the perspectives of borrowers, lenders, and advisors. She played a leading role in managing litigation funding arrangements and advising litigation funders and other capital providers on diligence, underwriting, and deployment for single-case and portfolio investments.

Nicole joined Omni Bridgeway from her own litigation and advisory practice, where she focused on sourcing, underwriting and monetizing legal assets across mass tort, personal injury and related opportunities. She advised referral firms and private investors on deploying capital into litigation assets while maintaining an active plaintiff-side practice.

Nicole holds a J.D., cum laude, from St. John’s University School of Law, where she was Associate Managing Editor of the St. John’s Law Review. She also holds a B.A. in Economics, cum laude, from New York University. She is admitted to practice in New York.
