Philippa Briggs

Philippa is an Investment Manager in the Sydney office, with responsibility for due diligence and management of funded cases.

Philippa joined Omni Bridgeway from law firm MinterEllison where she was a Senior Associate in the Insurance and Corporate Risk team (part of the Disputes, Competition & Insurance team) in Sydney. Philippa has over 12 years’ experience in commercial, insurance and corporate litigation, with specialist expertise in large scale, complex litigation, including defending class actions and acting in major and complex multi-party litigation.  Prior to this, Philippa was a lawyer in the insurance litigation team at Hunt & Hunt Lawyers.

Philippa brings to the Omni Bridgeway team comprehensive experience in professional indemnity, directors and officers’ liability, commercial litigation, financial institutions, shareholder disputes, corporation disputes, public and product liability, construction, medical malpractice, general liability and general litigation.

In 2013, Philippa won the Lawyers Weekly 'Best 30 Lawyers Under 30' Award.

Philippa holds a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Technology Sydney.
