Pierre-Jérôme Bouchard

Prior to launching Omni Bridgeway's Montreal office, PJ was a partner at McCarthy Tétrault LLP, where he conducted trials and appeals and advised clients on a wide variety of high-profile matters. Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault, PJ practiced in litigation at New York-based firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. PJ's areas of expertise include product liability, securities fraud, intellectual property, breach of contract, antitrust and arbitrations.

 

PJ obtained his law degree from the Université Laval in 2003 where he graduated first of his class and his Master of Law degree from Columbia University in 2005. Before entering private practice, he served as a law clerk to the Honourable Justice Louis LeBel of the Supreme Court of Canada. PJ was called to the Quebec Bar in 2006 and to the New York Bar in 2007.

In its 2023 Litigation Support Guide, Chambers and Partners recognized PJ as one of three Band 1 and in 2022 PJ was recognized as one of three Band 2 individuals nationwide for Litigation Funding in Canada. He is also recognized in the 2022 and 2023 Who’s Who Legal: Thought Leaders – Third Party Funding Guide.
