Litigation Finance as an Alternative Fee Arrangement Discussed by Jim Batson at NYIPLA CLE Seminar
On March 10, 2015, Senior Investment Manager Jim Batson discussed how litigation finance can be utilized as an alternative fee arrangement to help lower corporate clients’ legal costs and fees at the 1.5 hour CLE program titled: “Keeping It Profitable: Creating and Managing Alternative Fee Agreements in IP Cases“ sponsored by the New York Intellectual Property Law Association (“NYIPLA”). Various types of alternative fee arrangements were also discussed by other panel members for representations of both plaintiffs and defendants, with specific dialogue over common and optional provisions and how to maximize law firm profitability.
