Michael W. Miles

Michael W. Miles is an Associate Investment Manager and Legal Counsel in Omni Bridgeway's Houston office, where he conducts due diligence on potential investments and provides advice to Omni Bridgeway on matters of US law.
He joins Omni from Enbridge (formerly Spectra Energy), a publicly traded multinational energy infrastructure company, where he served as Associate General Counsel. At Enbridge, Mike advised senior executives on commercial and business disputes; led their litigation, labor, and employment team; and managed a diverse litigation portfolio for the company. He oversaw a wide range of claims involving insured and uninsured commercial parties – from shareholder/derivative matters and merger related litigation, to construction, toxic tort, environmental, patent infringement, insurance/subrogation, and catastrophic and other personal injury matters. Mike also assisted the company’s finance team and external auditors with loss contingency reporting. Before going in-house, he worked at Goodwin Procter LLP as a litigation associate in the commercial litigation and white-collar crime and government investigations practice areas.
Mike obtained his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and was awarded as an Outstanding Clinical Student for his work with the mediation clinic. While at Columbia, he externed for the Hon. Carol Bagley Amon at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Mike received his B.A. in History from Brandeis University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and was a member of the Phi Alpha Theta – History Honor Society.
