Key role responsibilities

  • Processing and management of the accounts payable function for the US business, including processing bills, preparation of payments, reconciliation of accounts payable and answering business queries.
  • Preparation of cash payments and transfers
  • Management of Expensify for the US business
  • Accounts receivable collections
  • Recording of cash receipts and payments into the accounting system
  • Weekly reconciliations of all bank accounts
  • Periodic reconciliations of vendor accounts
  • Fixed asset record keeping and accounting
  • Prepayment record keeping and accounting
  • Partner with Finance team in period close and management reporting generation
  • Provide/gather documentation for auditors
  • Provide finance support to management as requested
  • Payroll assistance, as required
  • IMS assistance – Assisting Investment Manager with cost reports and assisting gathering details for completed matters
  • Assistance with local city based and state-based tax and statutory filings
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting, as required
  • Provide backup support to other finance team roles
  • General accounting duties as required

Key role technical and behavioural competencies


  • Experience in using ERP accounting systems. Netsuite experience preferred but not essential.
  • Experience in dealing with foreign currencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer literacy particularly in Excel
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Experience in providing a focused service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to understand and become proficient with new software and systems
  • Great organizational and time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Must be a self-starter

Required experience

  • Approximately 2+ years’ experience in a similar position

Required education and qualifications

  • Degree qualified - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics or equivalent experience
