Responsibilities

This newly created position will be part of the German and the international finance teams, and reports to German management as well as to the EMEA and Global management. As Investment Analyst, you will be working directly with lawyers and management in (international)  investment teams. You will be responsible for the analysis of investments as well as for reviewing investments at all stages of the process. While the focus of this position will be the German-speaking market, you will also be involved in international investment projects. As Investment Analyst, you will support the team by providing investment and return analyses, budget plans, and cost control across all stages of the litigation funding and investment process – from the funding/investment decision to the conclusion of the case. Additionally, you will have business controlling responsibilities in the day-to-day business through, among other things, financial reporting and forecasts. 


Requirements

You are  a candidate who is entrepreneurial both in thought and action and has a (master’s) degree in banking, finance/controlling, business economics, or in a similar subject. You have several years of professional experience, preferably in the fields of investment management, private equity, finance, mergers & acquisitions, strategy consulting, or auditing. You enjoy analyzing problems and solving them; you are well-versed in the usual Office applications, particularly Excel; and you have gained financial-modeling experience. It is as important to you to work in a structured way and to have a keen eye for detail as it is to communicate well and cooperate closely with your colleagues. In addition to German, you are well versed in the English language.
