Annie Lespérance

Annie Lespérance is an Associate Investment Manager and Legal Counsel in Omni Bridgeway's Montreal office, where she sources and assesses investments in international arbitration and commercial litigation matters. She works with litigants to structure funding deals that address their unique needs and provide them insights, when requested, as their cases progress. Annie is also Head of our Latin America Group, with responsibility for leading Omni Bridgeway’s commercial arbitration, litigation funding and judgment enforcement efforts in Latin America.
Prior to joining Omni Bridgeway, Annie gained wide experience as a lawyer at Cabinet Yves Fortier (2012-2019) and the Permanent Court of Arbitration (2011-2012), where she acted as Secretary to Arbitral Tribunals in international commercial, investor-State and sports arbitration disputes under various procedural rules (ICC, ICSID, LCIA, UNCITRAL, PCA, ICDR, SIAC, HKIAC, CAS, SDRCC) and governing laws.
The expertise she brings to funding is also informed by earlier experiences in her career as an appointed arbitrator and member on arbitration rosters, including the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (Annex 10-B.1), the Canadian Free Trade Agreement and ICDR Canada's panel of arbitrators. During this time, she received recognition as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) based in London, UK. As a certified mediator, she also successfully mediated several litigated cases prior to joining the litigation funding industry.
Annie serves as a Board Member for the Canadian Council on International Law (CCIL), and the Young Canadian Arbitration Practitioners (YCAP). She is a representative of the International Chamber of Commerce Young Arbitrators Forum (ICC YAF) and of the ADR Institute of Canada U40 Forum. In 2020, Annie was recognized in the Future Leaders-Non Partner category of Who’s Who Legal: Arbitration 2021.
