Managing Director and Co-Chief Investment Officer - APAC

Oliver is a highly experienced legal risk financier with an international practice. He has played an integral role in Omni Bridgeway’s APAC leadership and expansion into Asia, EMEA and Latin America.

Since 2012, Oliver has led investments in multiple jurisdictions such as Australia, the UK, Continental Europe, Hong Kong and Singapore. His experience includes international commercial and investment arbitration, M&A and joint venture disputes, securities litigation, antitrust, fraud, insolvency, environmental tort, and international enforcement. 
Between 2012 and 2015, Oliver worked as a Litigation Funding Manager for Burford Capital in the UK. Between 2003 and 2012, he was in private practice as dispute resolution lawyer with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and Olswang LLP in London, where he was a solicitor advocate with Higher Rights of Audience, and Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He also completed several secondments in-house at investment banks and a global technology company. 
Oliver has been a long standing member of Omni Bridgeway’s executive committee with particular responsibility for the company’s expansion into developing markets, such as Asia (2016-2017) and EMEA (2018-2020). He is also a member of our Latin America Group, contributing to Omni Bridgeway's commercial arbitration, litigation funding, and judgment enforcement efforts in Latin America.

In June 2022, Oliver assumed the role of Managing Director and Co-Chief Investment Officer APAC, responsible for jointly overseeing all aspects of Omni Bridgeway's investment management, due diligence processes and operations across the Asia Pacific region.

Oliver has degrees in English and Law. He was recognised as as a ‘notable practitioner’ in the Chambers and Partners 2019 Litigation Support Guide and a ‘notable practitioner’ Chambers and Partners 2021 and 2022 Litigation Funding: International Arbitration guide, and is also recognised in Who’s Who Legal: Thought Leaders 2020-2022, as well as Lawdragon's Global 100 Leaders in Legal Finance 2021 and 2022 Guides and Global Restructuring Advisors & Consultants 2020 Guide. Oliver is also a member of the ACICA Users' Council.
