Mel Buffier

Mel Buffier is Head of Investor Relations. Based in Sydney, she is responsible for managing strategic communications and engagement with Omni Bridgeway's global investors, which include the Group's shareholders and external fund investors.

A highly regarded investor relations professional, with more than 20 years of finance and capital markets experience, Mel is skilled in designing and managing stakeholder communication programs for complex business and market issues including corporate reporting, capital transactions, strategic positioning, and exceptional market disruption events such as COVID-19.

Mel has held a number of senior investor relations roles at top 50 ASX-listed companies, including some of Australia’s largest property companies, most recently at Stockland Group and prior to that at Scentre Group, Westfield Retail Trust and Mirvac Group.

Mel has led corporate communications for transactions totalling over AU$100 billion and has also provided investor relations and corporate strategy advice in smaller, listed technology companies. During her career, she has held financial and forecasting roles at Westfield Group, Bankers Trust and Serco Asia Pacific in consortium with Macquarie Bank.

Mel holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Sydney, where she co-founded the USYD Union Finance Society (FINSOC) and was Vice President of the USYD Union Economics Society (ECOSOC).
