Bram Groenewoud

Bram is Regional General Counsel for EMEA, based in Omni Bridgeway’s Amsterdam office. He oversees legal, governance and regulatory matters across the region, supporting the firm’s investment and asset recovery activities and advising on complex, cross‑border transactions.

Bram is an experienced corporate and financial services lawyer with a strong background in investment management and financial regulatory law. He began his career at a Magic Circle firm, where he spent six years advising on structured finance and fund formation matters. He subsequently transitioned in‑house, joining Shell Asset Management Company in 2013.

At Shell, Bram led legal oversight for a range of strategic and transformational initiatives, including a multi‑billion‑dollar portfolio sale, the establishment of an in‑house hedge fund, regulatory transformation programmes, and the integration of ESG considerations across the business.

Bram holds a Master’s degree in Dutch Law, specialising in Commercial and Corporate Law, and a Bachelor’s degree from the European Law School at Maastricht University.

He is a native Dutch speaker and is fluent in English, with conversational proficiency in French and German.
