Chris Lisica

Chris Lisica is an Investment Manager at Omni Bridgeway in Sydney, specialising in litigation finance and helping clients secure funding for complex legal disputes. He is responsible for originating new funding opportunities, conducting due diligence, developing tailored dispute finance solutions, and overseeing the management of funded class actions and commercial litigation.

As an experienced lawyer and dispute finance professional, Chris is frequently called upon by lawyers to evaluate the merits of their cases and assess their eligibility for litigation funding. Additionally, he partners with corporate clients to help them value litigation, monetise litigation assets, and de-risk their exposure to ongoing litigation. His expertise spans a variety of sectors, and his portfolio includes:

• product liability and consumer protection class actions;
• mass tort and personal injury class actions;
• environmental, social and governance (ESG) litigation;
• shareholder class actions; and
• arbitrations.
  

Before joining Omni Bridgeway, Chris was a Senior Associate in the Disputes (Class Actions) team at Herbert Smith Freehills, where he advised clients in sectors such as financial services, automotive, agrochemical and manufacturing on high-stakes commercial disputes. Earlier in his career, Chris was an Associate at DLA Piper, where he practised in general commercial litigation and insurance-related disputes.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from the University of Technology, Sydney.
