Hannah van Roessel is responsible for the investment (litigation and judgment enforcement funding) requests under assessment at Omni Bridgeway’s Enforcement & EMEA team.

Hannah brings with her broad experience in the litigation funding industry, including managing active enforcement cases and securing recoveries in contested settings. She has significant hands-on experience with the cross-border recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards on the basis of the New York Convention in a large number of jurisdictions and especially against sovereigns and semi-sovereigns.

Before joining Omni Bridgeway in 2013, Hannah practised law with Dutch top-tier law firms Loyens & Loeff and NautaDutilh, where she specialised in litigation and international arbitration, and where she gained invaluable experience in related court proceedings regarding the recognition and setting aside of arbitral awards. 
 

Hannah holds a master’s degree in Private, Trade and Business Law from University of Maastricht, The Netherlands, and a master’s degree in International Trade Law from University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. She also received a diploma in international commercial arbitration from Queen Mary, University of London.

Hannah is fluent in Dutch, English and proficient in French.
