Marijn Flinterman is a seasoned specialist in the distressed debt and non-performing loan (NPL) sector, spearheading recovery and work-out efforts at Omni Bridgeway.
Marijn's core expertise lies in unlocking value from complex distressed debt portfolios, insolvencies, bankruptcies, court-sanctioned restructurings, wind-downs, and fraud-related claims. He works closely with banks, insolvency practitioners, liquidators, creditors, and public institutions globally, financing and acquiring claims and maximizing recoveries.
With nearly 20 years of international experience at the intersection of law, banking, and debt recovery, Marijn has built a robust track record originating, structuring and managing bespoke transactions involving portfolios of complex NPLs and other distressed assets across numerous jurisdictions. His background spans private practice and in-house legal advisory roles, complemented by extensive banking experience focused on distressed credit.
Marijn also serves as an officer of the International Bar Association’s Asset Recovery Committee, where he contributes thought leadership on distressed debt recovery, litigation funding in insolvency, and cross-border claim strategies. He is a sought-after speaker on the dynamics of funding, purchasing, and recovering complex distressed claims in global markets.
Marijn holds an MBA from INSEAD (France & Singapore, Dean’s List) and a Master’s degree in civil law from Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is fluent in Dutch and English, with working knowledge of German, Spanish, and French.
