Bentham IMF’s Allison Chock Selected to Participate on a Panel Discussion at the Thomson Reuters 2nd Annual Legal Executive Forum
The Thomson Reuters 2nd Annual Legal Executive Forum on March 25, 2015 will address critical business issues and law firm management challenges for the 2015 calendar year. This program will foster practical dialogue between managing partners, executive directors, C-suite officers and more from small to midsize firms. Constituents from both plaintiff and defense communities can benefit from this program.
In particular, this forum will focus on in-house transitions and strategic growth in a cautiously optimistic business environment. Bentham’s Allison Chock will participate in a panel discussion titled “Open Coffers: The Growth of Litigation Funding in Law Firm Financial Planning” which will focus on how law firms looked to litigation funding as a result of having to adapt to the effects of the Great Recession. Firms are required to stay on their toes in order to effectively manage ongoing changes in firm organization, case staffing, and client demands for Alternative Fee Arrangements (“AFA”). The growth and financial success of litigation financing firms demonstrates the growing use and value that litigation funding provides as an AFA to law firms and their corporate clients in the post-recession atmosphere, and how this nascent industry is poised to significantly impact the business of law.
